It truly was love at first sight with this Sachin and Babi dress. I was browsing Crossroads Trading Co., a lovely thrift shop on 28th in Chelsea when I looked up and saw this beautiful dress hanging up on the wall. I had so many other pieces curled over my arm but the moment I saw this dress I suddenly forgot about the other pieces and my single focus was on the dress. I had to have the dress. All I wanted was for it to fit perfectly. I went into the changing room to try on all of the pieces I had collected saving this dress for last. It's a thing I do when I am trying on clothing. I save my favorite piece to try on last. Thankfully it fit and I fell deeper in love with all the little details of the dress from the chiffon fabric, to the small polka dots, to the cross back and little flirty tie in the front. I felt like a princess. A New York princess of course because all black is a staple in this city.
I decided to pair this look with my Jeffrey Campbell stilettos in order to give me the desired height I was looking for and the illusion of legs for days. These platforms are comfy for their height and a real show stopper.
